2015 Annual Meeting

Sharing God's Word with Excellence

"If anything is excellent or praiseworthy—
think about such things." (Phil. 4:8)

Philadelphia, PA: Members of the Forum of Bible Agencies – North America gathered together on December 2 and 3 in historic Philadelphia. Hosted by the American Bible Society in their new headquarters that overlooks the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, members used the time to connect with colleagues across North America. Each year, the gathering provides a valuable opportunity for fellowship and collaboration among the members as well as the presentation of relevant and thought-provoking information by our speakers.

The group was welcomed by Dr. Roy Peterson, President of American Bible Society, who provided a Bible passage reflection. Valuable, current Bible-engagement research information was presented by Dr. Pam Ovwigho, Executive Director of the Center for Bible Engagement. The keynote speaker was Rev. Dr. Herbert Lusk II, a dynamic local pastor from Greater Exodus Baptist Church and founder of People for People, a local outreach organization. And the group of Bible Engagement leaders received a closing challenge from Dr. Eugene Habecker, President of Taylor University. (Dr. Habecker’s presentation)

For the first time, FOBA-NA presented the Award of Excellence for a significant contribution to the cause of Bible translation, distribution or engagement. In recognition of their collaboration and tremendous work with the Bible App for Kids, recipients of the 2015 award were OneHope and YouVersion. Please follow this link to view the Press Release.
